Ça commence comme un album du quartet américain de Keith Jarrett mais une rythmique jungle nous fait rapidement changer de cap et nous emmène vers un second morceau aux accents africains, suivi d’une ballade qui nous fait en douceur quitter l’Afrique et nous ramène dans une Europe moyenâgeusement imaginaire. Ainsi va l’album, pensé comme une suite de tableaux candidement Rousseauistes, hanté par les esprits de Duke, Mingus, Josquin des Près et Stravinsky, au charme discret mais profond, le genre de disque auquel on s’attache mine de rien.
